Scanning one takes you straight to that asset's profile in Setyl. For how to use them, see [How do I use Setyl's asset labels?](https://help.setyl.com/how-do-setyls-asset-labels-work?hsLang=en) **You need a Setyl account to use the labels.** Setyl is IT asset management software for organizations, and the labels work alongside it. If you bought labels on Amazon and scanning one takes you to a login page, that's expected. Sign in to Setyl, or [book a demo or start a trial](https://setyl.com), to link labels to your assets. **What are the labels like?** - **Material:** durable, scratch-resistant, super-thin polypropylene with a high-tack rubber adhesive. - **Size:** 1.5cm by 3cm (about 0.6 by 1.2 inches). - **Temperature:** from -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F), so they're fine to use outdoors. - **Water:** waterproof, but not certified for constantly wet environments. - **Tampering:** not tamper-evident. They're hard to peel off by accident, but can be removed with deliberate effort. - **Surfaces:** they stick to any clean surface, from laptops to heavy machinery. Clean the surface before you apply them. - **Where they're made:** Texas, United States. **What can I track with them?** Almost anything, from laptops and phones to fire extinguishers and air conditioning units. **Is every QR code unique?** Yes. Each label has a globally unique 6-character Asset ID made of letters and numbers, and we only ever print each code once. The QR code links to setyl.it followed by that ID. **What types of label are there, and how do I buy them?** Labels are sold through the [Setyl Amazon store in the US, UK, Canada and Australia](https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/page/981F184F-F177-4801-88C0-CFD385127D3F): - Standard rectangular labels, in blue or black - Cable labels, for thin or thick cables - Tiny labels, for example for SD cards Check each listing's description to find the right label for you. If the label you need is out of stock, contact us and we may be able to ship labels to you directly. **Can I create or print labels in Setyl?** No. Setyl can't generate labels in the app. Use labels from our Amazon store, or ask us for a list of unused Asset IDs to print yourself (see below). **Can I white label the labels or use my own?** Yes. Setyl can give you a list of unique, unused Asset IDs for you or your printer to print on your own labels, with no Setyl branding. Each code still links to the asset's profile in Setyl. We no longer offer custom-printed labels. **Does Setyl support RFID tags?** RFID tags can be used with Setyl, but we don't sell pre-printed ones. Get in touch to discuss your needs. **Can I use the labels without a Setyl account?** You can stick them on, but they won't do anything useful. The labels are designed to work with the Setyl platform. Without an account, scanning a label won't take you to an asset profile, and lost-asset reporting won't work. **I bought a second-hand device with a Setyl label on it. What should I do?** The label belongs to the organization that registered the device in Setyl, and it can't be transferred to you. You can safely peel it off. If you think the device may have been lost or stolen, scan the label. If its owner has reported it missing, you'll be asked for your contact details so they can get in touch.
