# How do I add People to Setyl?

You can add People to Setyl in four ways. Connecting an integration is the quickest and most accurate, because Setyl then keeps your people list up to date automatically.

**1. Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 (recommended)**

Setyl imports everyone in your directory and keeps them in sync. New starters are added with an **Onboarding** status, and leavers move to **Offboarding**.

**Recommended:** if you also use [Okta](https://help.setyl.com/integrating-setyl-and-okta-the-complete-hr-iam-guide?hsLang=en) or JumpCloud, connect that too. The more systems you connect, the more complete and accurate your data in Setyl will be.

**2. Connect your HR tool**

Setyl connects to HR tools such as BambooHR, HiBob, Personio and Workday. Go to **Settings \> Integrations** and choose your tool under **HR**. See [HR integrations](https://help.setyl.com/hr-integrations?hsLang=en).

**3. Bulk upload from a spreadsheet**

Click **+ \> Bulk Upload / Update** to add or update many People at once from a CSV or Excel file. See [How do I bulk upload or update records in Setyl?](https://help.setyl.com/how-do-i-bulk-upload?hsLang=en)

**4. Add a Person manually**

1. Click **+** in the top-right corner, then **Add Person**.
2. Enter their **First Name**, **Last Name** and **Company Email**. Add any other details you have, such as job title or join date.
3. Click **Add Person**.

**Do People get an email when they're added?**

Not automatically. People added through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 can sign in straight away with **Sign in with Google** or **Sign in with Microsoft**. To send someone an invitation email, open their profile, click the **⋯** menu and select **Send Person an Invitation Email**. You can also invite everyone automatically as they're added.
