# How do I bulk edit Assets or People in Setyl?

You can change the same fields on many Assets or People at once, without exporting and re-uploading your data.

**Bulk edit Assets**

1. Go to Assets \> All Assets.
2. Filter or search for the Assets you want to change.
3. Tick the checkbox on each Asset, or tick the checkbox next to the search bar to select every Asset on the page. To include Assets on other pages, click **Select all** in the blue banner.
4. Click **Edit Asset** at the top of the list. When you select more than one, it shows the number, for example Edit 5 Assets.
5. In the **Bulk Edit Assets** panel, change **Keep existing** to **Replace with** for each field you want to update, then enter the new value.
6. Confirm the change by typing the number of records you're updating.
7. Click **Update**.

**Bulk edit People**

1. Go to People \> All People.
2. Filter or search for the People you want to change.
3. Tick the checkbox on each Person, or tick the checkbox next to the search bar to select everyone on the page.
4. Click **Edit People** at the top of the list. It shows the number selected, for example Edit 5 People.
5. In the **Bulk Edit People** panel, change **Keep existing** to **Replace with** for each field you want to update, then enter the new value.
6. Confirm the change by typing the number of records you're updating.
7. Click **Update**.

**Updating lots of different values?**

Bulk edit sets the same value for every selected record. If each record needs a different value, for example a unique Asset ID or purchase price per Asset, export your data, edit the spreadsheet and upload it again.
