How do I use Zapier with Setyl?

You can now effortlessly find or create new records and have them seamlessly incorporated into Setyl workflows as they occur in another application using Zapier.

Integration Setup

Zapier interacts with Setyl through our standard API, so you must first configure access to the Setyl API as outlined in this guide https://developers.setyl.com.

You can then use the received credentials such as the "Private API Key" and "Consumer ID" in https://app.setyl.com/settings/api_keys to configure Zapier.

After logging in to Zapier, you will be prompted to accept the invitation from Setyl to commence building Zaps.

You can now establish a new Zap or incorporate Setyl as a step into any existing Zap within your account with our partnership.

 

Integration Functionality

Setyl collaborates with Zapier to help you eliminate the need for manual data entry and build potent, time-saving connections with other applications.

You can configure a Zap to create, update and archive People, Assets and Departments within your Setyl account.

For example, when configuring the "Create Person" in Setyl step for the first time, you will be asked to authorize permissions for Setyl to exchange information with Zapier.

You will then be prompted to specify which field to use for Person matching (either their name or email address), and map the name, email, and phone number fields in case a new person record needs to be generated.

If a person record is not found, this Zap can generate a new person in Setyl, which will also synchronize with your CRM.

We recommend always opting for the email field as the matching criterion when it is available in your form or scheduling data.

Make sure to test all of your configurations before proceeding. You should observe the test Person appearing in the corresponding workflow within Setyl.

Now, simply activate the Zap to witness it in action!
