      How to connect HiBob to Setyl

      Setyl’s integration with HiBob ensures the most seamless onboarding & offboarding for your Organization.

      Setyl's Hibob connection enables seamless synchronization of employee-related information into Setyl.

      Information that is synced automatically includes:

      • First and last names
      • Email
      • Avatar/photo

      The following information can also be synchronized:

      • Department - recommended in order to build an Organization structure in Setyl
      • Location - recommended in order to build an Organization structure in Setyl
      • Legal entity - recommended in order to build an Organization structure in Setyl
      • Job title
      • Join & leave date
      • Phone number
      • Address
      • Employee ID
      • Personal email
      • Manager email
      • Contract type

      This information is synchronized every 24 hours from Hibob. It is also possible to manually sync the information from the People > All People > ... menu, or from the Settings > Integrations page.

      Integrating HiBob with Setyl

      0. Before starting

      Ensure that you have an Owner role within Setyl. You can check this by clicking on your avatar in the top right to display your current role.

      Go to Settings > Integrations page and find "Hibob (direct)" from the list, to prepare for the integration.

       

      1. Creating the service account user in Hibob

      Please follow these steps to create a service account user in Hibob: https://apidocs.hibob.com/docs/api-service-users

      The service account will require the following permissions:

      • “Full employee read”
      • “Employee fields read”

      2. Now head back to the Setyl platform

      1. Find the “HiBob (direct)” integration within Settings > Integrations and click "Connect"

       

       

      3. Copy and paste the Access Token and Service User ID from Hibob into the fields.

      4. Select “Save & Connect”

      5. Map the fields you wish to synchronize from Hibob. At a minimum, we recommend syncing:

      • Job title
      • Join date
      • Leave date
      • Department
      • Location
      • Legal entity

      If you have more than one integration connected to Setyl, please take the time to select the integration priority. This decides which format of names are prioritised, for example your Organization is likely to list employee legal names within the HR package, whereas preferred name within the email system (Google/Microsoft).

       

      6. Click “Save & Connect” when you have finished mapping the fields

      7. Data from HiBob will automatically begin populating into Setyl.

      Note: This may take several hours to complete depending on the size of your organisation.
