# How to trigger a manual sync for an integration

## Setyl automatically syncs with your connected integrations on a regular schedule. However, there may be times when you want to manually trigger a sync. This guide explains how to manually initiate a sync from any connected integration.

### Trigger a manual sync for an integration

To manually sync data from a specific integration:

1. Navigate to **Settings** \> **Integrations**.
2. Scroll to the relevant section (e.g. **Asset Detection Sources, HR**).
3. Locate the integration you'd like to sync 
4. Click the **3 Dot Menu** ( **⋮** ) on the integration card.
5. Select **Manual Re-Sync**.

Please note that it may take several minutes before data begins to sync after the sync has been triggered.

### Trigger a manual sync of People

To manually sync people data from all integration sources:

1. Navigate to **People \> All People**.
2. Click the **3 Dot Menu** ( **⋮** ) in the upper right corner.
3. Select **Start Sync**.

### Trigger a manual sync of Assets

To manually sync asset data from all integration sources:

1. Navigate to **Settings** \> **Integrations**.
2. Scroll to the relevant section (e.g. **Asset Detection Sources, HR**).
3. Locate the integration you'd like to sync 
4. Click the **3 Dot Menu** ( **⋮** ) on the integration card.
5. Select **Manual Re-Sync**.
