# What security certifications and audits does Setyl have?

Setyl is certified to ISO 27001, is independently penetration tested, and complies with UK and EU GDPR. Our certificate, a penetration test summary and further security documentation are available under NDA from [security@setyl.com](mailto:security@setyl.com).

**Is Setyl ISO 27001 certified?**

Yes. Setyl's information security management system is independently certified to ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for information security. [Learn more about ISO 27001](https://www.iso.org/standard/27001).

**Is Setyl SOC 2 certified?**

No. Setyl has chosen ISO 27001 instead, which covers similar security controls and is widely accepted as comparable to SOC 2.

**Is Setyl penetration tested?**

Yes. An independent third party tests the Setyl platform every six months. We fix every finding as a priority, whatever its severity.

**Is Setyl GDPR compliant?**

Yes. Setyl acts as a data processor under UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Customer data is hosted in the UK and EU, a Data Processing Agreement is provided as standard, and we also comply with US privacy laws such as the CCPA and CPRA. Setyl Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZA798244). **Has Setyl been independently audited?**

Yes. Our ISO 27001 certification is audited by an independent certification body.
