An introduction to Setyl's automatic warranty finding service
The automatic warranty finder service enables Organizations to have asset warranty information automatically populated.
Setyl's automatic warranty finder is available on specific plans.
Configuring the warranty finder
The warranty finding service is enabled by default, provided it is included within your plan.
The service can be disabled or re-enabled by going to Settings > Company Settings > General tab > Warranty finding service
Requirements
The warranty finder will run for all assets with a supported manufacturer (see below) and serial number present.
The finder will make 3 attempts to fetch warranty information, with 7 days between each attempt. The status of the warranty fetching is displayed on each asset profile.

Fields updated
The warranty finding service will attempt to automatically fetch and update warranty information for an asset. The following fields are populated/updated where possible:
- Purchase date
- Warranty expiry date
- Warranty type
