Setyl integrates with Ubiquiti to help organizations automatically import and manage their assets. This guide explains how to connect Ubiquiti with Setyl, what permissions are required, and how the data is used.
How the Ubiquiti integration works
Once connected, the Ubiquiti integration allows you to discover and import assets from Ubiquiti into Setyl. Assets imported from Ubiquiti will continue to be updated and maintained within Setyl automatically. This helps maintain accurate asset records and reduces the need for manual updates in Setyl.
What data is synced?
Setyl will sync the following asset data:
- Name
- Model
- Specifics
- MAC Address
- IP Address
How often does the sync occur?
Asset data from Ubiquiti will sync automatically once every 24 hours, Monday to Friday and once upon initial integration. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time if needed.
Asset Auto Update can also be disabled. Further information, including how to configure integration priority settings, can be found here.
Setting up the Ubiquiti integration
Prerequisites
Before connecting Ubiquiti to Setyl, make sure you have:
- Administrator access to Ubiquiti, with the ability to create an API token.
- A Setyl account with Owner-level admin permissions.
Connecting Ubiquiti to Setyl

Navigate to Settings > Integrations in Setyl.
- Under Asset Detection Sources (MDM, RMM & other) locate Ubiquiti UniFi

Click Connect.
- Under Connection, follow the on-screen instructions to generate an API token in Ubiquiti.
- Copy the token and enter it into the API Token field in Setyl

Click Save and Connect.
Please note that it may take several minutes before data begins to sync after the initial connection has been made.

Trigger a manual sync
You can manually sync data from Ubiquiti by:
- Navigating to Settings > Integrations.
- Locate Ubiquiti Unifi under Asset Detection Sources (MDM, RMM & others).
- Click the 3 Dot Menu.
- Select Manual Re-Sync.
A manual sync can also be triggered for all asset detection integrations by:
- Navigating to Assets > All Assets
- Under Assets select To Review
- Click the 3 Dot Menu located beside Filter
- Select Start Sync
Troubleshooting
If the integration fails to connect:

Double-check your API Token is correct
- Disconnect and reauthorize the Ubiquiti connection.
