When is a Person assigned "Offboarding" status?
A new Person (automatically pulled in through an integration) is assigned "Offboarding" status when:
- The Person's "Leave date" is populated with a date within the last 1 year
Note: If the Person's "Leave date" is more than 1 year ago, the Person will automatically be "Archived".
An existing Person is assigned "Offboarding" status when:
- The Person's "Status" is manually changed to "Offboarding"
- The Person's "Leave date" is populated with a date within the last 1 year
- The Person is removed, suspended or disabled in a connected integration such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Okta. Depending on your settings, they move to "Offboarding" or are archived. A common cause is suspending new starters in Microsoft until their start date.
How do I set someone back to "Active"?
- Open the Person and click Edit.
- Clear the Leave date and click Save.
- Change their Status to Active.
If they were suspended or disabled by mistake in Microsoft or Google, reactivate them there first. See Reactivating or unsuspending a user in Google or Microsoft.
If the leave date comes back after the next sync, it's coming from your HR system or identity provider, so correct it there. If you can't, for example because your HR system marks the Person as terminated, email hello@setyl.com and we can turn off syncing for that Person.
Changing the default rules
You choose whether people who are removed or suspended in an integration move to Offboarding or are archived. Set this under Settings > Company Settings > General, at the bottom of the page.
